What is Instant Gratification?


Instant gratification is the addiction to experience pleasure or fulfillment without delay, we all must have noticed the fact that we are hardwired to get anything we want instantly, or it is a term that refers to temptation and let go of future benefits in order to obtain the immediate benefit.
for example, if you have an urge for something pleasurable like food or watching a movie
we do not even give a second thought on the fact that we are wasting  2hours  of valuable our time by watching a movie.

The opposite side of instant gratification is delayed gratification or a conscious decision to put off satisfying your desire to get a better reward in the future.

The desire to get things instantly is known as pleasure principle according to Sigmund Freud,
Psychologist Shahram Heshmat explains why it is difficult to resist this urge.

1] It is uncomfortable to engage in self- denial because the more you fight it the stronger it becomes.
2]We don't believe others and our future and that uncertainty causes us to value immediate benefits.

3] The age factor the young generation is more impulsive than that of older people.
4] When you are taking conscious decision to avoid instant gratification, you are making a choice of selecting delayed gratification, which demands of you to envision your desired future if you let go of current desire.

5] Those who are born with higher intelligence have a tendency to see the benefits of delayed gratification.

6] Desperation for anything can make it very difficult to look past immediate benefit, If you do not have money it will be very alluring for you to steal it.
If you are a bachelor without a girlfriend you would do anything for a hook-up.

7] Mood can play a major role in this because we all have days of boredom and impatience all of which make immediate desire look more seductive.

Everyone pursued instant gratification all the time, Hence there are so many examples of instant gratification, Some examples of instant gratification that can be seen very commonly are-

1]The desire to select the snooze option instead of getting up early.
2]Temptation to go for a night out, instead of working on yourself
3] Temptation to fap after watching porn,
4]Tempation to eat in the middle of the night.
5]The temptation of buying an expensive phone to show off on the high-interest loan, Instead of 
waiting until you have saved enough money to buy it without taking a loan.

6] The urge to splurge all of your salary on your girlfriend.


We all must have seen at least two or more of these examples apply to all of us.


How to overcome the temptation of instant gratification


It is simply not an easy task to avoid instant gratification However there are some ways to 
However, there are some ways that really help in curbing it down.
                                 
  • Be considerate about your future. Before choosing between instant and delayed gratification take moment and think about your future and ask a question will this going to add value to my life if the answer is no do not do it.
  • Take responsibility for your life. This also means making a commitment to yourself, because once you will make commitment your mind will give up and will listen to your consciousness.
  • Take one step at a time it will keep you away from getting intimidated. once you will accomplish a small task your mind will automatically create a loop.

When you take responsibility for your life by making a commitment to yourself, It will help you to face the temptation.

The power of visualization work together with the Law of Attraction. The idea is to visualize. The idea is to imagine something that you want to get and create a mental picture of that image and it will be attracted to you.

We already do this unknowingly,  whenever you focus on something that might go wrong, things will go wrong. and our mind creates a pattern to focus on a similar situation like that because it has happened in the past.

It is just like working out in the gym, we all must have witnessed how difficult it becomes to lift a 10lbs [5kg] Dumbell on the first day, but after a couple of days, the same weight becomes very light for us.


Because our mind creates the pattern over and over saying I have been lifting this 10lbs Dumbell for a week now it's no longer heavy for me, It all boils down to our mindset.

You must have heard people saying  I can't imagine losing 100pounds or I can't speak on stage in front of 100 people, This sect will never be able to achieve these things because they are not competent enough of imagining themselves achieving them.

Every time you take part in any activity or do something your mind is creating the image and storing that in your mind because what you see or do is mixed with sensory experiences like touch, smell, and visualization,

We are prone to visualization especially when we worry and expect something worst to happen, we take that image and reinforce that to become a reality and often that happens, That means we manifest worst-case scenario in our lives.

Our mind is very powerful the more you try to resist a particular thought the stronger it becomes and the only way to conquer your mind is to stop fighting it,

Whenever a bad thought comes into your mind just stay calm tell your mind.  let me see how long this bad thought stays in my mind, try that and you will find the thought is disappeared.

Every single action your body takes is first generated in your mind like walking, waving at someone, doing pushups Before you do any activity there is a split second image created in your mind -It could be conscious or unconscious,

This principle works in the same way with the things you attract in your life.

Famous Athletes do this every time they create a mental picture in which they see themselves perfectly executing the plan they made to win any game and you can do it too by following few techniques.



  1. BE EXCITED ABOUT WHAT YOU WANT


You won't get effective results unless you are excited about what you want, your emotions are the powerful driving force behind your visualization. Therefore choose your passion and not be too attached to the outcome but use it to focus on your work and you might end up getting something bigger than your expecting to get.

2.  Hold your image for 35 sec


     To attract a powerful manifestation hold your image at least for 35 to 45 seconds to enhance this 
      start meditation.


3. Create A Detailed Picture

  Through your picture make it very clear to your mind as what you want in a detailed manner.


4. Believe IN Your Dreams


   There are two ways to believe now first become kids in your imagination kids believe everything like the story fairies and ghosts.

This method is useful when your dream is too big and seeing your present condition you can never achieve that goal and people end up putting too much pressure on themselves because their subconscious mind does not accept what is beyond human reach in the material world.

But who is Chitragupta? Is it another name of God? or does it refer to a superhuman or an Alien.

Ziglar slipped his leg while climbing down from the stairs, which resulted in short term memory.

Personal life


Ziglar met jean his wife in Mississippi and they gave birth to four children Suzan, Tom, Cindy,  Julie, Ziglar died of pneumonia in 2012.


GREATEST BLIND GUITARIST OF ALL TIMES!


Jose Feliciano was born devastated and blind in Puerto Rico, He was told by his neighbors to beg like beggars in the streets, but Jose refused! instead, he taught himself how to play the guitar.

He practiced day and night sometimes until his fingers bled. He wrote a Christmas song called  Feliz Navidad.


He first received widespread popularity in 1960 after the release of his song Feliciano! His passion for music made him practice for 14 hours a day in a single room.

As a teenager, Feliciano took classical lessons from Harold Morris at the lighthouse school for the blind in new york.

At the tender age of 17 Jose left high school to support  his family and started performing at coffee shops of Greenwich,

He was  first discovered by jack Somer and released his first single "EVERYBODY DO THE CLICK"

Now these people conveyed a subtle message to all of us saying you are not limited by your weakness it all about believing and taking actions in right directions,,,,

We all have heard the term self-improvement in some way or the other, iam sure most of you would want to know as to why self-improvement is important in life.

The word self-improvement is derived in two parts self means you and improvement is the process of becoming better.

The first person who ever brought this term to life is Mr. Earl Nightingale in the 1960s, He is known as the dean of the personality development industry.


  What is self-improvement?

Self-improvement means to keep on learning and make the quality of your life better or let me put it this way reaching the point of satisfaction in your life.






  What are the areas of self-improvement?

 There are six key areas of self-improvement which are listed down below

1] Relationship
    
   In Relationship the most important thing is, to be honest, and be yourself, do not think of changing yourself for another person and combine this with the factor of fully accepting another person.

2] SELF-ESTEEM 

 Self-esteem is an evaluation of an individual of their own worth, for example, if a person is good at something he is bound to feel confident and best about himself because he gets attention and respect from others,


3] Spirit 

   The word spirit means spiritual growth or the practice of evolving your consciousness by practicing meditation and feel the blissfulness within.

4] Career 
    The aspect of the career is interrelated with the word improvement means everyone wants to do good in their respective careers but that is only possible by keeping on reinventing yourself and acquire new skills...


4] Creativity
     Creativity here is meant to be the process of  developing creative abilities through exploration
  and enhancing your skills,

5] Health
  Now health is the most important aspect of all but still not the goal of life but irrespective of you have a good career and tons of money but you are bedridden what's the use of good career and money when you cant enjoy that.

Relationship = As we discussed about this, in this aspect it is important to be truthful, A close friend of mine came to me who was dating a girl back then, and his girl had UTI [urinary tract infection]
because of which whenever they involved in intercourse his girlfriend used to have uneasiness while peeing and the funny smell which together used to cause her pain and because of that she would never involve in sex with the guy.


But as we all know a healthy relationship cannot last without a healthy sex life, now this guy was crazy for sex and was unable to get it for a long time, which resulted in the breakup.

In this scenario, the boy should have been honest with the girl and told her that without a healthy sex life, you cant have a long-lasting relation.

Perhaps after this conversation, the girl would have thought of giving it a try under the consultation of a specialist but that did not happen.



Self-esteem                Over the past decades I have been analyzing  how much important this factor is,
having self -esteem in your work makes you stand above the competition.


First, we will try to understand in depth what is self-esteem?


The best definition that I have found is having confidence in your abilities and trust me you cant have confidence until you get some incentive for what you do or you can only develop it with the help of auto-suggestion.

This trick can work wonders for everyone  who applies it, for example, let's take a sale representative,
As the recent studies show after conducting one on one with top salesmen around the globe,

The only thing that stands them apart with an edge, was their self-esteem, They all used the trick of autosuggestion that I love myself, iam best at what I do, iam genius, your self-esteem, and career go hand in hand.


Creativity 
Being creative means breaking your patterns and facing your  fears by believing in your abilities,
or the correct way to put this is making the most boring work into something interesting.

example to understand creativity is when you are trying to avoid a traffic jam on your way to an appointment by taking an alternate road, side streets, and alleys.


Health
There are two areas of  health, First is the mental health and physical health and the trio good career, physical health and mental health are correlated,

Mental health really affects how we think, act and speak you can see this playing a part in how you cope with your life's problem and productivity at work, these are just some of the benefits of having good mental health will discuss about it later.

As we all know that physical activity reduces our chance of getting sick, but it also saves us from cardiovascular diseases and releases dopamine and oxytocin as these hormones are important to reduce stress.
